Computer desk height requirements

The desktop should not exceed 70 cm. Due to the unreasonable design of the computer desk, diseases such as low back pain, neck muscle fatigue or strain, tenosynovitis of the hand muscle and decreased vision are jeopardizing the work of computer-related workers.

According to a survey provided by the labor and health department, the Beijing Institute of Occupational Diseases and Occupational Diseases conducted a survey on computer operators in the telecom industry, TV stations, and newspapers' laser photo-arrangement workshops for three consecutive years from 1996 to 1998. About 30% of them were investigated. The investigators suffered from neck and wrist syndrome to varying degrees, and their visual acuity generally declined.

According to experts, the height of the desk, the desk, or the height of the keyboard and mouse on the computer desk should be the same or lower than the elbow when the person is sitting. The top of the display should not be higher than the horizontal line of sight of the sitting position, otherwise it will cause vision loss.

In Japan, the standard height of the desk before 1971 was 74 cm. Due to repeated occupational diseases, Japan revised the standards for office appliances in 1971. The standard heights of 70 cm and 67 cm for male and female desks were respectively reduced, thus greatly reducing fatigue. In the UK, the current recommended desktop height is only 71 cm. In China, the height of computer desks, desks and desks is generally high.
